6th Grade

6th graders, known as Preteens, are caught at the junction between childhood and becoming a teenager. Some preteens still hold on to their childhood toys while others are eager to jump on to "teen stuff". Preteens are surrounded by many noises and distractions. They have many decisions to make. They want to grow up, but they feel insecure and uncertain. The influence of peers and media is overwhelming. Preteens need direction and a safe place to find out who they are in Christ.

Preteens do not know how to voice their needs, but we all know they need these five essentials:

Big God I can trust no matter what.
Friends who believe what I believe.
Another voice that will say the same things as parents.
Parents who make it their business to know where their preteens are spiritually.
An uncommon sense to help them make wise choices.
